About Brett Bernstein Films

UK-based aspiring screenwriter and filmmaker originally from New York, USA. Filmmaking has been an interest of mine since I was a child. It was not until I made my first short film for a class in high school when I was 15 that I realized screenwriting and filmmaking is my true passion and something I wanted to continue to pursue.
I gravitate towards dramatic films and hard hitting pieces. My main inspirations are Woody Allen and Spike Jonse. Wes Anderson is also a huge inspiration of mine and I would love to carry elements of his writing and directing style into my own work.
I also have a minor background in theatre directing. I directed Nottingham Trent University's 2024 stage production of Into The Woods. Theatre has always been a passion of mine as well and is something I would also love to pursue in the future
